Vintage Indonesian Batik “Kain”

Vintage Indonesian Batik “sarong”. This gorgeous batik has a dark green center panel reminiscent of batiks designed from WW1, Kudus Indonesia. Colors are vibrant navy blue, sea blue, tan with red tulip flowers along with a tan -blue butterfly and bird (see pics). Back and sides of fabric are red background with blue floral motif. Circa 1950/1960 from my aunt’s personal collection. Size 40” l x 38” w. Not visible is a sewn seam (shown on pic 3) on red panel. Any imperfections (as seen in last photo) are inherent to the process and beauty of batik. Beautiful piece to frame or wear. MINT condition. Photos do not reflect the beauty of this sarong.
