Rare 1880 EAPG Horseshoe Stem Glass Cake Plate by O'Hara Glass Co.

Description

This cake plate was made from 1880 to 1910 by the O'Hara Glass Co.  It was originally called "O'Hara #99" and later became "Horseshoe Stem".  It has a plain clear plate with a scalloped skirt around the top.  The midsection has a pebbled upside down horseshoe resting on a clear tiered base.  The cake stand measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide and 8 1/4 inches tall.  It has a very small chip in the leg of one side of the horseshoe and on the base, these are barely noticeable but I want to point them out, please see last two photos, I highlighted them as they are hard to see.  There are also multiple bubbles throughout the glass which was normal during the making process.
