    Description

    Pavonia Water Tray AKA: Pineapple stem Manufactured by Ripley and Company, Pittsburg, PA. circa 1885-1886. U.S Glass at Factory “F” 1891. The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece.
    The water tray has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware. Glass is wavy and has a large straw mark, the color is very slightly sun-purpled. Clarity is fine and there is one exploded small bubble on rim, with one of the concave scallops on outside row has a chip. No engraving.
