  • Condition: This hardcover book with dust jacket is in mostly extremely good condition although the dust jacket show some wear and tear. Extremely clean, tight, and unmarked other than as noted:- some wear and tear to dust jacket with the back cover showing some slight impairments; hardcover is in excellent shape- inside frontispiece has light pencil marking top RH corner with a previous price: "6-"- inside frontispiece has penned inscription "Christmas 1955" in black ink, period script.- back cover illustration has penned inscription, in blue ink, at bottom of page: "85 - 5.35" this does not impair the illustration at all.- volume appears to be extremely clean and tight otherwise.This book dates from 1951 and at 70 years of age is in extremely good condition.Additional photos can be provided upon request.PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION AS DESCRIPTIONS CAN BE SUBJECTIVE.

    This likely First Edition is in extremely good condition with flaws as noted above.  The dust jacket shows some wear.  An excellent resource for anyone interested in the world of Victorian England, architectural, social, cultural, or material culture history.  This book, as with some others I currently have listed, are products of the 100th anniversary of the Great Exhibition and are a fascinating insight into the historiography and academic research of the mid-20th. C.  We are now approaching the 200th anniversary of the Great Exhibition and the 100th. anniversary of this subsequent research into it.
    A wonderful addition to any collection.
