EAPG PRISCILLA Large Open Compote Ca 1888 Dalzell Gilmore & Leighton Sun & Star!
Offered here is an
Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) Large Open Compote in the PRISCILLA or SUN and STAR Pattern!
This pattern was made by Dalzell, Gilmore and Leighton of Findlay, Ohio starting in 1888.  It was one of Dalzell’s most popular patterns.  The pattern features rows of small indented stars with a center row of “suns”.  The Open Compote is a square shape that might be more interesting turned a quarter and displayed with the corner out. The sides have been slightly turned down, more at the corners.  The bowl is supported by a sturdy pedestal.  Just gorgeous!

with no chips, cracks or cloudiness. The glass is very clear and sparkling!  This would be a welcome addition to a collection
