  • Condition: . Caster# 1 (salt or pepper) has pronounced straw marks and is badly cracked between the design portion and the plain bottom that fits inside the glass holder. The crack is ¾ of the way around difficult to see if upright. Caster #2 mustard or mayonnaise holder- with cap slotted for spoon. This is chipped at the base and the finish is gone from top of slotted cap. There is also a little cloudiness in bottom ½” of base. Caster#3 Vinegar or Oil castor is in good condition but I do not believe this is the correct stopper for it, looks like sunk honeycomb to me. However the stopper fits very well and does not rock.

    Description

Britannic AKA Brittanic Three caster bottles clear non-flint. McKee & Brothers, Pittsburgh, PA. (under National glass Company circa 1894 until 1903. The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the pieces.
The caster bottles have the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware. Color and clarity are fine and the impression from the mold is crisp.
