    Description

    This is an amazing and early piece of US Fireman history. This early 1900's hat was made by Meier of Chicago, Illinois. The hat badge says BFD, which I believe is Bloomington Fire Department, just outside of the Chicago area. The hat is a size 7 3/8. The felt is in  extremely good condition and does not have any bug damage. The leather brim has some crackling to it, but i don't see any splits. The leather sweat band is in nice shape as well, but some of the stitching is coming loose. Please inspect all photos for condition and don't miss out on this early piece of Chicago and Bloomington history.
