Offered in this sale is a pair of vintage early American pattern glass tall footed covered compotes molded with the Frosted Ribbon pattern aka RIBBON pattern that were made by Bakewell circa 1870s. They measure 11" tall overall to the top of the cover knob x 8" in diameter at their widest and weigh close to 4.5 pounds each. The condition of both pieces is excellent. One does have a faint meandering internal straw line that you have to hunt to find and I just mention for complete accuracy, otherwise there are no other chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration.
Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail of the decoration and condition. Do not hesitate to send me a message if you have questions or would like additional images.
I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This pair of compotes is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is .00. (due to the large size and weight of these they will likely have to be double boxed)
