... an 1883 Three Cent Nickel certified PR 65 by NGC.
This is a superb, high-end proof -- a coin that lists on NGC's price guide at 5 -- that in hand looks like it could have rolled out of the mint yesterday.
With a full and consistent gold tone that actually gives the coin a two-toned, gold-and-silver look at certain angles -- this Three Center actually has the look of a bona fide gold coin in full light. It's highly distinctive, with high-end eye appeal, and unlike any coin of this type I've ever seen.
The obverse features lustrous devices that pop in full light and gives this coin a light, but beautiful cameo effect.
Though both the obverse and reverse look pristine in hand, a close inspection with a loupe reveals the usual array of contact marks and other dings consistent with the grade -- none of which are visible in hand at even close range.
The mirrored surfaces and razor-sharp strike only add to the overall eye appeal, which is substantial given both the Gem quality of the coin and the gold toning throughout.
In closing, this is a high-end proof Three-Cent Nickel that actually looks closer to a 66 in both strike and eye appeal, with the kind of toning that gives it a distinctive look not found on many coins of its type.

We accept returns for
virtually any reason
up to 30 days after your item arrives, as long as it is returned undamaged, unopened and unaltered. Raw DMPL or PL coins may still be returned if they have been taken out of their cardboard flips as I know it's important to be able to check mirror depth without the reflectivity of the flip's mylar getting in the way. However, coins must then be re-secured in a new cardboard flip or mylar holder for the return trip.
When we say we offer no hassle returns for virtually any reason, we actually mean it. Don't like your item? No problem. Change your mind? No problem. Found a better price? No problem. Run it through the wash? ... OK, that would be a problem. But almost anything else — that's right, no problem. Refunds,
which consist of 100 percent of the purchase price (we don't charge "restocking fees"), are usually processed the same day the returned item is delivered, and always within 48 hours.
