    Presented is a copper/nickel (75%//25%) composition
    1866 Three Cent coin
    .
    The coin has FINE obverse details and has a strong reverse with nice detail evident in the leaves of the wreath.
    Ninety percent of the vertical lines in the three columns of the Roman numeral III are bold.
    The coin was struck with clashed dies as a strong image of the top of the reverse left column of the number III (with an embedded piece of metal) is imprinted upside down on the obverse, under Liberty’s chin.
    Not visible in the scans, there are several lesser image transfers visible to the eye and through magnification.
